Simply work it out in mls to visualize it:

First Solution

3 mls milk

5 mls water

multiply by 2

6 mls milk

10 mls water

Second solution

4 mls milk

7 mls water

multiply by 3

12mls milk

21 mls water

Mix

6+12 mls milk = 18 mls

10+21 mls water = 31 mls

Therefore the ratio of the the final mixture is 18/31
