Total number of students = 30

Find the total scores of the boys:

Mean = 35

Total = 35 x 20

Total = 700

Find the total scores of the girls:

Mean = 40

Total = 40 x 10

Total = 400

Find the total scores:

Total scores = 700 + 400

Total scores = 1100

Find the mean score of the class:

Mean Score = 1100 ÷ 30

Mean Score = 36.67

Answer: The mean score is  36.67
