Step-by-step explanation:

total =25

only hockey players=15

only football players =17

both game players=10

So ,32-10=22

25-22=3

now more 3 play both.

So total 13 play both game

Answer:

Our given question has a concept of set. Here we should find how many of the persons do not play both.

Final Answer:

Number of persons playing

neither hockey nor football   =3

Step-by-step explanation:

From the given question,

  • Number of Total persons in the room =25
  • Number of persons playing Hockey  =15
  • Number of persons playing Football  =17
  • Number of persons playing both Hockey and Footbll =10
  • Number of persons playing neither hockey nor football

=Total students - Number of persons playing either hockey or                                                                footbll or both

Step 1:

Number of persons playing only Hockey  =15-10=5

Number of persons playing only football n(F)  =17-10=7

Step 2:

  • To find the Number of persons playing either hockey or footbll or both, Add Number of persons playing only Hockey ,Number of persons playing only Football and Number of persons playing both Hockey and Footbll.

Number of persons playing

either hockey or footbll or both  =5+ 7+ 10 = 22

Step 3:

  • To find the Number of persons playing neither hockey nor football, Subtract Number of persons playing either hockey or football or both from Total students.

Number of persons playing neither hockey nor football =25-22=3

Final Answer:

Number of persons playing

neither hockey nor football   =3
