Answer: Total no of books in library = 2600

percentage of english books in the library = 38%

therefore, no of english books = 38/100 x 2600

                                                     = 38 x 26 (cancelling the two zeroes)

                                                     = 988

Now. no of telugu books = total no of books - no of english books

                                           = 2600 -  988

                                           = 1612 books

hence option (2) is correct.
