There are 3 friends who equally distribute some bullets. Four bullets are shot by each one. The remaining bullets are equal to the half of original bullets that the 3 friends distributed. Find out total number of bullets.

let the total no. of bullets be x
then after distribution, 1 person has
x/3 bullets
the no. of bullets left by 1 person is (x/3 - 4)
the no. of bullets left by 3 person is 3(x/3 - 4)
remaining bullets = x/2
i.e. x/2= x- 3(x/3-4)
x/2= x- x + 12
x/2= 12
