Given : Dimension of each pair is width = 25 cm , Length = 50 cm and height = 12 cm .
We know volume of cuboid ( Here each step is in shape of cuboid ) = Length × Width × Height
Here , Dimension of first step : ( width = 25 cm , Length = 50 cm and height = 12 cm ) , So Volume of first step = 50 × 25 × 12 ,
Dimension of second step : ( width = 25 cm , Length = 50 cm and height = 12 + 12 = 24 cm ) , So Volume of first step = 50 × 25 × 24
And
Dimension of third step : ( width = 25 cm , Length = 50 cm and height = 12 + 12 + 12 = 36 cm ) , So Volume of first step = 50 × 25 × 36
So,
Volume of 3 stairs - step = 50 × 25 × 12 + 50 × 25 × 24 + 50 × 25 × 36 = 50 × 25 ( 12 + 24 + 36 ) = 50 × 25 × 72 = 90000 cm3
Also given dimension of a brick = 12.5 × 6.25 × 4 , So
Volume of a brick = 12.5 × 6.25 × 4 = 312.50
Then ,
Total number of bricks used = 90000312.50 = 288 ( Ans )
