Given:

There are 300 buses waiting to take 15632 spectators to a stadium if each bus is to carry 52 spectators

To find:

How many will have to wait for another bus to come along?

Solution:

The total no. of spectators = 15362

No. of buses waiting to take the spectators to the stadium = 300

No. of spectators each bus can carry = 52

∴ The number of spectators that the available 300 buses can carry is,

= 300 × 52

= 15600

Now,

The remaining no. of people to wait for another bus to come is,

= [Total no. of spectators] - [No. of spectators in 300 buses]

= 15632 - 15600

= 32

Thus, 32 spectators will have to wait for another bus to come along.
