Total no. of houses = 32
Every 2nd house gets newsweek
⇒ 16 houses get newsweek
Every 3rd house gets education today
⇒ 10 houses get education today
Every 6th house gets reader's digest
⇒ 5 houses get reader's digest
The houses which get two magazines will have 3 pairs :
1. Those which get newsweek and education today (LCM of 2 and 3 = 6)
⇒ Every 6th house gets both
2. Those which get education today and reader's digest (LCM of 3 and 6 = 6)
⇒ Every 6th house gets both
3. Those which get newsweek and reader's digest (LCM of 2 and 6 = 6)
⇒ Every 6th house gets both
Houses which get all 3 magazines = LCM of 2, 3 and 6 = 6
⇒ Every 6th house gets all 3
∴ 5 houses get all 3 magazines
& There are no houses which get only 2 magazines.
