total number of students = 360
total number of girls = 120
total number of boys = x
so therefore total girls + boys = total number of students
120 + x = 360
x = 360 - 120
x = 240
1. ratio of girls and total number of students =
total number of girls / total number of students
120/360 = 1/3
or 1 : 3
2. ratio of girls and boys
total number of girls /total number of boys
120/240 = 1/2
or. 1 : 2
