There are 4 white marbles and 1 black marble in a bag. You draw two marbles, one after the other. Is the probability for both of the marbles to be white higher if you replace the first marble drawn or higher if you do not replace it?

the same in either case
higher if you don't replace the first marble

Answer:

The probability when not replacing is 4/5×4/5=16/25

3/5=15/25 so replacing is higher
