,Since there are only 10 trees which need to be

planted in five rows of four each, it is clearly

evident that the trees can't be planted in parallel

rows. Rather, the rows have to intersect each

other. Something like this: fig2.1

In the above pattern, assume that the blue lines

are the rows and the brown crosses are the

trees. In this way, some of the trees stand

common for two rows, thus making it possible

to have five rows of four trees each.

That's a beautiful star shaped grove we have
