there are 400 children in a school. 60 of them went to play and 100 of them are eating and the rest are reading. Find the percentage of people playing,eating and reading ​

First, we should find the number of children reading............

Number of children reading :-

${\tt \longrightarrow 400 - (60 + 100)}$

$\tt \longrightarrow 400 - 160$

$\tt \longrightarrow 240 \: \sf \: children$

Now,

Percent of children playing :-

${\tt \longrightarrow \dfrac{60}{400} \times 100}$

${\tt \longrightarrow \dfrac{60}{\cancel{400}} \times \cancel{100} = \boxed{\tt \dfrac{60}{4}}}$

${\tt \longrightarrow \cancel \dfrac{60}{4} = \boxed{\tt 15 \bf\%}}$

Percent of children eating :-

$\tt \longrightarrow \dfrac{100}{400} \times 100$

${\tt \longrightarrow \dfrac{100}{\cancel{400}} \times \cancel{100} = \boxed{ \tt \dfrac{100}{4}}}$

Percentage of children reading :-
