There are 45 questions on allison's English test. The multiple choice questions are worth 2 points each, and the short answers are worth 5 points each. The entire tea is worth 120 points.

Let, the number be x

Four times the number will be 4x

And, the number is increased is x + 78

According to the question,

⇒ 4x = x + 78

⇒ 4x - x = 78

⇒ 3x = 78

⇒ x = \sf\dfrac{\cancel{78}}{\cancel{3}}

➠ x = 26
