 \texttt{Total Number of students in the class = 45}

  \texttt{Number Of Boys = 60\% of 45}

 \tt =  \frac{60}{100}  \times 45 =  \frac{2700}{100}  = 27

 \texttt{So,  number of girls = 45-27 = 18}

 \texttt{Thus,  there are 18 girls in class. }

Step-by-step explanation:

Total students = 45

% of boys = 60%

No. of girls = ?

No. of boys = 45×\frac{60}{100}

= \frac{45×6}{10}

= 27

No. of girls = Total students - No. of boys

= 45-27

= 18
