Answer:

Girls :-250

Boys :-200

explanation: as 50 more girls are there we less 450-50=400.

400/2=200

therefore,there are 200 boys & girls are 200+50(we had removed is added here)=250.

Correct Question:-

There are 450 Students in a school. If there are 50

girls more than boys, how many boys and girls are there

In the school ?

Given:-

  • Total number of students = 450
  • And number of girls are 50 more than the boys

Find:-

Number of boys and girls.

Solution:-

Total number of students = Number of boys + Number of girls

Let number of boys be M and number of girls be N.

Girls are 50 more than that of boys.

According to question

=> N = M + 50

Now,

Total number of students = Number of boys + Number of girls

Substitute the known values in above formula

=> 450 = M + N

=> 450 = M + M + 50 [From (eq 1)]

=> 450 - 50 = 2M

=> 400 = 2M

=> M = 200

Substitute value of M in (eq 1)

=> N = 200 + 50

=> N = 250

•°• Number of boys = 200 and number of girls = 250.
