there are 48 cards in a pack and each card is either red or black.
the ratio of the number of red cards to black cards is 1:1
8 red cards are removed from the pack
find the ratio of the number in red cars now in the pack to the number of black cards now in the pack.
give your answer in its simplest form.

Answer:

ratio of red and black cards =1:1

red/black = 1/1

i.e, 1x + 1x =48

2x = 48

x =24

red cards=24 black cards= 24

8 red cards removed; 24-18= 16

black cards= 24

ratio= 16/24 = 2/3

ratio= 2:3
