There are 48 marbles in a box, 3/8 of the marbles are red in color. What is the number of

marbles which are not red?

fraction of marbles red in colour = ⅜

to find :

first number of marbles red in colour =

48 × 3/8

➡️ 6 × 3

➡️ 18

therefore number of marbles red in colour is 18

now the number of marbles which are not red = total number of marbles - number of red marbles

= 48-18

= 30
