Dogs

Total ==> 49 Signed up for the show.

Large ==> x

Small ==> x + 36

Large + Small = Total

x + ( x + 36 ) = 49

2x = 13 m

This means six and a half dogs

Please confirm that the question is valid.

The only solution I would consider would leave one dog without a home

ie x = 6 plus one remainder.

1 homeless dog.

or, someone takes this last dog.
