The weight of the first box is 200 kg

First box = 200 kg

The third box is 25% heavier than the first box

Third box = 200 + (0.25 x 200) = 250 kg

The second box is 20% heavier than the third box

Second box = 250 + (0.2 x 250) = 300 kg

The fourth box at 350 kg

Fourth box = 350 kg

The fourth box  is 30% lighter than the fifth box.

Fifth box = 350 - (0.3 x 350) = 245 kg

Arrange the weight in order:

200 kg < 250 kg < 245 kg <  300 kg < 350 kg

⇒ First box < Third box < Fifth box < Second box < Fourth box

Find the average weight of the 4 heaviest boxes:

Sum = 350 + 300 + 245 + 250 = 1145 kg

Average = 1145 ÷ 4 = 286.25 kg

Find the average weight of the 4 lightest boxes:

Sum = 200 + 250 + 245 + 300 = 995 kg

Average = 995 ÷ 4 = 248.75 kg

Find the difference:

Difference = 286.25 - 248.75 = 37.5 kg

Answer: The difference is 37.5 kg
