Solution :-

The correct answer of this question is 6 persons.

Explanation -

If there are 5 people in a room, and I walk into the room and kill 4 out of 5 persons, then there will be 6 persons remaining in the room because the persons killed will remain persons. They would not change into any thing else or disappear from that room. And I have also entered in the room. So, including me, there will be 6 persons in that room.

This question can have two different answers based on assumptions:

  • 5 people in a room.
  • You go in.
  • You kill 4 people.

Solution:

Assumption 1: If there were 5 in the room and you go in. It will become a total of six people now. After killing, if the dead are also assumed to be people, then there are 6 people in the room.

Assumption 2:  If there were 5 in the room and you go in. It will become a total of six people now. If you kill 4 people and the dead people do not account, then, there are 2 people in the room. You and the other living person.
