If all the numbers are added, subtracted, divided or multiplied by the same number, than the mean of the given numbers is also added, subtracted, divided or multiplied by the number.

Here, we have obtained mean as -3.5 by subtracting 53 from each term. So, the mean of the actual number is also subtracted by 53 and because of that the new mean is -3.5. So, mean of actual number will be -3.5 added to 53.

Mean of the actual numbers = -3.5 + 53

= 49.5.

Mean of the given numbers = 49.5
