Given - Total number of students and number of boys

Find - Ratio of the number of boys and number of girls

Solution - Number of girls = total number of students - number of boys

Number of girls = 50 - 40

Number of girls = 10

Ratio = Number of boys : Number of girls

Ratio = 40 : 10

Cancelling zero

Ratio = 4 : 1

Hence, ratio of the number of boys and number of girls is (c) 4:1.
