There are 500 students in the school in Dahihanda village. If 375 of them can swim what percent of them can swim and what precent cannot ? Class 6​

Percentage of students who can swim -

No. of students who can swim = 375

Total = 500

Percentage = 375 / 500 × 100

= 375 / 5

= 75

Percentage of students who can swim = 75%

Percentage of students who cannot swim -

No. of students who cannot swim = 500 - 375 = 125

Total students = 500

Percentage = 125 / 500 × 100

= 25%

We can also solve it another way -

As we have found that percentage of students who can swim is 75%

So, the percentage of students who cannot swim will be 100% - 75% = 25%

Percentage of students who cannot swim = 25%
