It's pretty simple

First you need to add up the percentage and subtract it from 100 so you can find out the remaining percentage of people.

52+28+10+6= 96 meaning 4% of people are of other religion

Now you know 4% is equal to 3420 people

With this information, you can write a proportion to find the total population of the city

  4/100 = 3420/x

    4x= 342000

     x= 85,500

The total population is made up of 85,500 people

Hindus = 52%

Muslim = 28%

Christians = 10%

Buddhists = 6%

Find the percentage of other religion:

Other religion = 100 - 52 - 28- 10 - 6 = 4%

Find the total population:

Other religion = 4%

Other religion = 3420

4% = 3420

1% = 3420 ÷ 4 = 855

100% = 855 x 100 = 85,500

Answer: There are 85,500 people in the city.
