Given :

  • Number of apples = 527
  • Number of pears = 646
  • Number of oranges = 748

To Find :

  • How many heaps are formed ?

Solution :

To Find number of heaps, we've to find HCF of 527, 646, 748

527 = 17 × 31

646 = 2 × 17 × 19

748 = 2 × 2 × 11 × 17

So, here the common number is 17

Thus, HCF of 527, 646, 748 is 17

•°• 17 heaps can be formed.

Number of apples in each heap = 527 / 17 = 31

Number of pears in each heap = 646 / 17 = 38

Number of oranges in each heap = 748 / 17 = 44
