x/(540−x)=4/5

5x=4(540−x)

5x=4×540−4x

5x+4x=4×540

9x=4×540

x=(4×540)/9

x=4×60

x=240.

Therefore, Number of Boys = 240

And Number of Girls = 540−240=300.

Hence, 300 girls are there in the school.
