There are
6 resistor each of resistance R. First
they
all are connected in series and equivalent
resistance is X. Now they are connected in parallel
and equivalent resistence if y. What is the ratio of X
and Y. ?

We have to find the Ratio of X and Y
Explanation:
When 6 resistor each of Resistance R
Firstly, all are connected in series
So, Equivalent resistance X is
X=R+R+R+R+R+R
X=6 R
Now they are all connected in parallel
so, the equivalent resistance Y is
Y=1/R+1/R+1/R+1/R+1/R+1/R
Y=6/R
The ratio of X and Y is
X/Y=6R/(6/R)
X/Y=R^2
