average of first 30 = sum / 30 = x
then approx sum wieght = 30x
same way approx sum of other 30 = 30y
overall weight = 30x + 30y
axerage weight of class = (30x + 30y)/60
= (x + y )/2

total of the first 30 students is 30X and total of the other 30 is 30Y.
average of the whole class is (30X+30Y)/60
which is equal to 0.5(X+Y)
