Given, avg weight of 60 students = 45 Kg
Sum total of weights = 45*60 = 2700 Kg
No: of boys = 40...No: of girls = 20
Avg wt of girls = 40 Kg
Sum total of girls weight = 20*40 = 800 Kg
So, sum total of boys weight = 2700-800 = 1900 Kg
Now,the weight of 2 boys were wrongly entered as 42,50
The correct weights = 46,40
Hence, corrected sum total of boys weight = 1900 - 42 - 50 + 46 + 40 = 1894
Total weight of whole class = 1894+800 = 2694
Hence corrected average = 2694/60 = 44.9 Kg
Hope it helps.
