Answer:

the no. of people = 600

the ratio of boys to girls = 3:5

the sum of ratio = 3+5=8

the no. of boys = 3/ 8*600

= 225

the no. of girls = 600-225

= 375

. last option is correct

Given :-

  • Total no. of students 600
  • ratio of boys and girls 3:5 respectively.

To find :-

  • No. of boys and girls in the school.

Lets say the no. of boys and girls are 3x and 5x .

According to the question,

=> 3x + 5x = 600

=> 8x = 600 ( dividing both side by 8 ) i.e.,

=> x = 75

 \green{ \underline \bold{ no. \: of \: boys \: 3x \:  = 3 \times 75 = 225 \: and \: no. \: of \: girls \:  = 5x \:  = 5 \times 75 = 375}}

✯D) 225 and 375☞ ans.
