Let the no. of incorrectly answered question be x

Therefore, correctly answered questions = 62 - x (since he answered all the 62 questions)

2 marks for (62 - x) questions

1 mark deducted for the x questions

2(62-x) - x = 34

124 - 3x = 34

3x = 90

x = 30

No. of correctly answered questions = 62 - x = 62 - 30 = 32

And,

No. of incorrectly answered questions = x = 30

Hope this helps

Answer:

Total no. of question 62

Let the number of correct answer be X

And the wrong answere be Y

Therefore,

X + Y = 62 .....(i)

2X - Y = 34 .....(ii)

By adding equation (i) and (ii),

X + Y = 64

2X - Y = 34

____________

3X = 96

X = 32.

Now substituting value of X in equation (i),

32 + Y = 62

Y = 62 - 32

Y = 30

THEREFORE , NUMBER OF WRONG ANSWERE IS 30.
