Answer:

Boys are 40 and Girls are 25

Let the totak boys be B

and total girls be G

So, B + G = 65

which implies B = 65 - G ------( 1 )

Given B - G = 15

from ( 1 )

( 65 - G ) - G = 15

65 - G - G = 15

65 - 15 = 2G

50 = 2G

G = 25

So, the total number of girls are 25

and the number of boys are 65 - 25 = 40

Answer: There is 25 girls in the class.

Step-by-step explanation:

From the 65 kids, set 15 of them into the boy category (mentally). This represents the excess over # of girls. Which means that means 50 kids remain,equally divided, so therefore there are 25 girls & 25+15 = 40 boys.
