66 students took Sinhala and 22 students took Tamil.

88/100 × 75% = 88×75 = 6600

6600/100 = 66

66 students took Sinhala.

88-66 = 22

22 students took Tamil.

Answer:

sinhala=66 children @75%

tamil=22 children @ 25%

Step-by-step explanation:

let y= children who choose sinhala and

x= children who choose tamil

y+x= 88 children = 100%

therefore

88=100%

y=75%

cross mutiply

y=66

since y+x=88

x=88-66

x=22=25%
