There are 9 beads in a box. 2 are green, 3 are red and 4 are blue. A bead is picked up at random. Find

the probability that it will be: i) red ii) not green​

1.red=3/9,no of red beads by tolat no of beads

2. probability of finding green=no of green beads/ total no of beads=2/9

probability of not green=1- probability of green=1-2/9=7/9

by telling that the probability is not green we are therefore telling that the bead picked is either red or blue which are high in number too

and the green beads are only two so there are more chances for the other bead to be picked.

but if we tell that the red bead is picked we are therefore telling that neither the green nor the blue beads are picked which has less chances

so by this we can conclude that option ii) has higher probability to be the correct answer
