Farmers in India are facing various challenges like:

• Low rates – The farmers are compelled to sell their produce at low rates. The middlemen should be eliminated from the cycle to solve this issue.

• Loan – Since the farmers are compelled to sell their produces at such low rates, they are head-to-toe covered with loans. The amount of loan is increasing, but their profits are steadily decreasing. The government should take measures to relieve them from these loans.

• Insufficient water Supply – Crops need a lot of water. Due to scarcity of water, farmers are facing problems in having a healthy crops. Rainwater harvesting is the solution to this problem.

• Climate Change – Global warming is the biggest concern in the world. More trees should be planted to control its effects.

Some ways to 'improve the 'condition of farmers':

The farmers in India face a 'number of challenges'. Some of the problems they face are that there are a number of smallholdings of land. This set up affects the yield. Mechanization and the use of more modern equipment will go a long way in 'improving' the yield of the farmers.

Better irrigation, proper selection of seeds and proper maintenance will help 'increase the productivity of the crops'. Inadequate capital and no proper means of transportation of their produce are other challenges that the farmers face. Proper marketing channels for their produce would go a long way in helping the farmers.
