let no. of bikes be y

give, x + y = 50

x = 50 - y

no. of tires in cars = 4

no. of tires in bikes = 2

4(x) + 2(y) = 160

4(50 - y) + 2y = 160

200 - 4y + 2y = 160

40 = 2y

y = 20
