No. of fish shops = 6,000

No. of visitors of each fish shop = 160

Total people visit fish shops each day

= 6,000 × 160

= 960,000

No. of chip shops = 6,000

No. of visitors of each chip shop = 160

Total people visit chips shops each day

= 6,000 × 160

= 960,000

Total visitors of fish and chips shop

= 960,000 + 960,000

= 1,920,000

Total population of UK

= 60,000,000

Percentage of visitors

= (1,920,000/60,000,000 × 100) %

= 3.2 %

Approximately 3.2% percentage of the population visit a fish and chip shop each day.
