Uvula:-

The roof of the mouth is divided into two sections the hard palate at the front and the soft palate at the back. The uvula hangs from the middle of the soft palate and lies a short .

The uvula, medically known as the Palatine uvula, is the little thing that hangs at the back of your throat . The uvula can produce large quantities of fluid.

Function of uvla:-

<> Uvula is the fleshy mass of tissue that dangles from the posterior of the soft palate.

When we swallow solid food or fluids, uvula and the soft palate move upwards to close off the nasopharynx, thereby preventing food from entering the nasal cavity.

<> its function could be related to drinking while bending over,” they stated, citing a previous assumption that the uvula may be leftover from mammals that drink while bending their neck downward.

<> Uvula plays a vital role in the articulation of speech and deglutition, which refers to the process of swallowing.

<> it's function could be related to speech.

<> The uvula is made up of mucous membranes, connective and muscle tissue, as well as canals that excrete saliva.
