Given:-

  • Four marbles are blue (B)
  • Two marbles are red (R)
  • Two marbles are green (G)

To find:-

  • The probability of blue marble to be chosen
  • The probability of green marble to be chosen
  • The probability of yellow marble to be chosen

Solution:-

i) Probability of Blue marble

There are 4 blue marbles

Total marbles is 8

P(E) = 4/8 =1/2

ii) Probability of Green marble

There are 2 green marble

Total marble is 8

P(E) = 2/8 = 1/4

iii) Probability of Yellow marble

There are no marble

Total marble is 8

P(E) = 0/8 = 0
