Let the total number of people present in the restaurant = x

As given, number of adults =  \frac{3}{8}  * x

Therefore, number of children =  \frac{3}{8}  * x + 90 (given)

Now, Number of Adults+ Number of Children = x

 \frac{3}{8}  * x +  \frac{3}{8}  * x + 90 = x

 \frac{3x+ 3x + 720}{8}  = x

⇒ 6x + 720= 8x

⇒ 720= 8x-6x

⇒ 720= 2x

⇒x=  \frac{720}{2}

x= 360

Hence total people in the restaurant = 360

Number of adults=  \frac{3}{8}  x =  \frac{3}{8}  * 360

= 135

Therefore number of children = Number of adults + 90

= 135+90

=225
