Natural ports or the natural harbours are the type of landforms which are naturally eligible to do anchorage procedures.

The most number of the natural ports are in western coast of the India.And the eastern coast have only a few natural ports;

The reasons behind this are;

1)the river flows in the eastern coast forms delta land forms in the river mouth,so the coastal area are not deep enough to do anchorage procedures.

2)but on the other hand the river flows in the western coasts performs submergence to the oceans,so the waterlands are deep and broad enough to perform anchorage procedures.

That's why there are few natural ports on the eastern coast of the India.
