Given  :  there are five empty chairs in a row.

6 men and 4 women have to sit

To Find : the probability that the chairs will get occupied by two men and three women

Solution:

6 men and 4 women

total = 6 + 4 = 10

5 seats can be filled in ¹⁰C₅  =  252 ways

2 men  and  3 women can be selected in  ⁶C₂ * ⁴C₃

= 15 * 4

= 60 ways

probability that the chairs will get occupied by two men and three women

= 60/252

= 5/21

= 0.238

probability that the chairs will get occupied by two men and three women

is 5/21   or 0.238
