There are five red balls, three yellow balls, and four green balls in a bin. In each event, you pick one ball from the bin and observe the color of the ball. The balls are only distinguishable by their colors. After observation, you put the ball back into the bin. a) what is the value of the information entropy for an event? b) what is the information entropy for five event in a bit?
pls solve it!

Given : five red balls, three yellow balls, and four green balls in a bin. pick one ball from the bin and observe the color of the ball.

To find : Probability of each ball

Solution:

Red Balls  = 5

Yellow Balls  = 3

Green Balls = 4

Total Balls = 5 + 3 + 4  = 12

Probability of Red Ball  =  Number of Red Balls / Total Balls

=>Probability of Red Ball  =  5/12  = 0.417

Probability of Yellow Ball  =  Number of Yellow Balls / Total Balls

=>Probability of Yellow Ball  = 3/12  = 1/4 = 0.250

Probability of Green Ball  =  Number of Green Balls / Total Balls

=>Probability of Green  Ball  =  4/12  = 1/3  = 0.333

Explanation:

give= five red balls , three yellow balls , four green balls.

to find= the probability of balls.

Red balls =5

yellow balla =3

green balls =4

total balls = 5+3+4=12

probability of red balls = number of red balls / total balls

= 5/12 = 0.47

yellow balls = 3/12= 0.250

green balls = 4/12 = 0.333
