There are four fuels which all contain only carbon and hydrogen. The fuel having highest calorific value will be one which has
(a) more of carbon but less of hydrogen
(b) less of carbon but more of hydrogen
(c) equal proportions of carbon and hydrogen
(d) less of carbon as well as less of hydrogen

  • The fuel with the highest calorific value would have less carbon and more hydrogen has a highest calorific value than carbon.
  • Calorific value of biomass and synthesized activated carbon. From that, higher carbon content will lead to higher calorific value.
  • Calorific value of carbon (CO2) activation process is  (19,852 J/g)and  lightly lower when lower its starting material (21,343 J/g).
  • Hydrogen is having greatest calorific value and giving  lot of heat , energy. This amount of energy is too high for domestic use which does not require much energy
