number of girls be G
and number of boys be B
A/q
B +4 = G
and B +G = 2828
⇒B +4 + B = 2828
⇒2B = 2824
⇒B = 1412
so G = 1416
ratio = 1416/1412 = = 354:353

Let the no.of boys be x
then no.of girls = x+4
Given total students = 28
⇒ x+x+4 = 28
⇒ 2x+4 = 28
⇒ 2x = 28 - 4
⇒ 2x = 24
⇒ x = 24/2
∴ x = 12
∴ no.of boys = x = 12
No.of girls = x+4 = 12+4 = 16
The ratio of no.of girls to the boys = 16:12
= 4:3
then no.of girls = x+4
Given total students = 28
⇒ x+x+4 = 28
⇒ 2x+4 = 28
⇒ 2x = 28 - 4
⇒ 2x = 24
⇒ x = 24/2
∴ x = 12
∴ no.of boys = x = 12
No.of girls = x+4 = 12+4 = 16
The ratio of no.of girls to the boys = 16:12
= 4:3
