Given : There are goats and sheep on a farm.

The number of goats is 6 times the number of sheep.

There are 595 animals altogether.

To Find:  How many animals are goats

Solution:

Assume that Number of Sheep = x

Then number of goats  = 6x

Total Animals = x + 6x = 7x

Total Animals = 595

Equate Total Animals

=> 7x = 595

=> x = 85

=> 6x = 6 * 85

=> 6x = 510

Hence 510 animals are goats
