Dhaka city is a town of Mosques. This mosque is beautiful for its structural design. This is one of the biggest mosque situated around the Dhaka University, a world famous University. Thousands of students are study here & achieve their degrees at the end of the education. Many students halls are here for their accommodation.
This mosque is made to pray "Namaj", a huge number of people are offering their namaj behind the Imam, Muslims are praying 5 times a day at different Wakt or time & Friday a big jamat held here.
This area is also famous & historical for the graveyard of rebel & national poet of Bangladesh Kazi Nazrul Islam.
