Explanation:Indian party system is passing through a phase of transition which looks to be full of contradictions and paradoxes.India used to be a multiparty nation but now the role of political personalities have become much more prominent than that of the political parties.Nowadays,the competition is not between parties its just a battle of two or more political leaders.For Example: BJP(Bharatiya Janta Party)is dominated by many prominent leaders but people are blindly calling is Modi Government,this proves that this party is under the dominance of a famous political personality.Similarly,Congress is called Gandhi Party.

                                                This is how we can say that,Indian political system are now dependent on political personalities and not parties.
