There are six parts in a pie- chart. The parts make angles of 30°, 40°, 60°, 90° and 105° at the
centre of the pie chart. If the biggest angle represents an expenditure of Rs. 630, what is the
expenditure represented by the smallest angle?

Given :  There are six parts in a pie- chart.

The parts make angles of 30°, 40°, 60°, 90° and 105° at the

centre of the pie chart.

the biggest angle represents an expenditure of Rs. 630,

To Find : the expenditure represented by the smallest angle?

Solution:

A pie chart (or a circle chart) is a circular statistical graphic, which is divided into slices to illustrate numerical proportion.

In a pie chart, the arc length of each slice (and consequently its central angle and area), is directly proportional to the quantity it represents.

In a pie chart, each sector represents a particular part of data

and  the magnitude of the sector is directly proportional to the magnitude of the specific part of the data

First find 6th missing angle

30° + 40°+ 60° + 90°  + 105° + x = 360°

=> x = 35°

Largest angle = 105°

Smallest angle = 30°

105°  = 630

=>  1°  = 630/105  = 6

=> 30°  = 6 * 30  = 180

expenditure represented by the smallest angle  = Rs 180
