Number of people in the Hall =6

Me a Maniac Entered the room and kill five of them.

Number of people left =  6 -5 =1

The Maniac is still inside the room.

So, Total number of people who are still in the room = 1 + the maniac=1 in number

= 1 + 1

= 2 people

This question can have two different answers based on assumptions:

6 people in a room.

Maniac goes in.

Maniac kills 5 people.

Solution:

Assumption 1: If there were 6 in the room and you go in. It will become a total of seven people now. After killing, if the dead are also assumed to be people, then there are 7 people in the room.

Assumption 2:  If there were 6 in the room and you go in. It will become a total of seven people now. If the maniac kills 5 people and the dead people do not account, then, there are 2 people in the room. The maniac and the other living person.
